The Player of Round 7 in RAHL 3 is Ján Majerník of the Pressburg Reapers team. In the game against Black Wings he recorded two goals and contributed significantly to his team’s first win of the current season. In the interview he revealed how he experienced the winning game, what he thinks decided the success and whether this game can be a turning point for the whole team.

1. In the game against Black Wings you scored two goals and helped the team to its first win of the season. How do you feel after the game?

Ján: “It was a great feeling. We finally broke through and showed that we can play our hockey. The goals were definitely nice, but I’m happiest that as a team we saw it through to a win. It was about time.”

2. What do you think tipped it in your team’s favor this time?

Ján: “I think this time we played simpler and battled for one another. No needless mistakes, we went all out from start to finish, and that turned out to be decisive.”

3. How did you find the mood on the team after the game, when the first win finally came?

Ján: “The mood was fantastic, we felt relief. You could feel the tension lift in the locker room.”

4. Can this game be the turning point from which the team bounces back to better results and eventually fights its way into the playoffs?

Ján: “I hope so. Wins like this can give a team a boost and add confidence. If we keep doing what we showed today, I believe we’ll bounce back and it’ll still get interesting. The playoffs are definitely not out of reach.”

Ján Majerník became the hero of Round 7 in RAHL 3 when his performance helped Pressburg Reapers snap a bad run and show that the team is capable of more. The win brought relief and confidence into the locker room, which could be key for the rest of the season. If the Reapers build on the honest team effort from the game against Black Wings, the playoffs are still in play, and Majerník will certainly be among those who pull them there.
