The puck simply finds him. Senec sharpshooter Maličký orchestrated the demolition of Knights

The Player of the Week in RAHL3 is Michal Maličký of team HC Lev Senec, who played a major part in his team's convincing 6:0 win over Knights in the first round of the playoff quarterfinals. He contributed four goals and one assist to his team's dominant performance, which clearly made him one of the main figures of the game.

1. A perfect performance, four goals and one assist on top of it. How do you rate your performance in this game?

Michal: “I was in the right place at the right time, and the puck just somehow found me.”

2. A comfortable 6:0 win over Knights in the first round of the playoffs. How do you rate your team's performance?

Michal: “A responsible performance from the whole team brought a clear win, although in the playoffs it doesn't really matter whether you win 1:0 or 7:6 – what counts is that point for the win.”

3. Aďo Nogely posted a shutout once again. How do you rate his contribution to the team?

Michal: “His contribution shows in the stats and in the number of shutouts this season. I believe it wasn't the last one this season.”

4. To advance to the playoff semifinals, you still have to get through the return game against Knights. How will you prepare for this game?

Michal: “The same as before every game. Above all, I believe we'll confirm the first point and move on.”

5. You dominated the RAHL3 regular-season stats. Was there any surprise from your teammates waiting for you in the locker room?

Michal: “There wasn't anything, but our work isn't finished yet, since team success is always worth more than individual success – even though the guys in the locker room joke that I'm selfish.”

In the opening game of the playoffs, Michal Maličký confirmed his great form from the regular season and showed once again how important he is to HC Lev Senec. Despite an excellent individual performance, however, he keeps his feet on the ground and clearly stresses that team success matters most. After the first game, HC Lev Senec has its semifinal ambitions in its own hands and will want to confirm its advance in the return game.
