Slovakia’s biggest amateur hockey league is back

Slovakia’s biggest amateur hockey league is back, and once again with a record number of entries!

The new season is knocking on the door, and it all kicks off on Saturday, September 6, 2025, with the start of another edition of RAHL, the biggest amateur hockey league in Slovakia. In the 2025/2026 season, teams, fans and everyone who loves amateur ice hockey can once again look forward to plenty of thrilling games, great moments on the ice and the unmistakable atmosphere that RAHL brings.

This edition will be another record one for us. As many as 34 teams will take part in the season, split into 3 skill levels. RAHL 1 will consist of 10 teams, RAHL 2 grows by 2 members compared with last season and will be made up of 8 teams, and RAHL 3 will be the largest group, with as many as 16 teams competing in it, split into two groups of 8. We can expect great games across all the groups throughout the season, and every weekend we will see as many as 17 games.

Besides thrilling games, this year we can again look forward to plenty of side events that will make the RAHL experience even better. One of the biggest draws will certainly be the RAHL DRAFT All Star Game, where the league’s biggest stars come together and the managers of the select teams pick players from among them for their squads for the RAHL All Star Game, where spectators will see the very best that RAHL has to offer. There will also be the traditional open-air Winter Classic, which has already become a popular part of the season. That game will be full of emotion, cold weather and, of course, great hockey. We firmly believe that after a one-year break the weather will let us hold this event. At the end of the regular season, managers, players and fans can also look forward to the RAHL Awards, where the best players, coaches and teams will be honored for their performances over the whole season.

The 2025/2026 season is here, and it looks like we are in for quite a hockey ride. More teams, more games, but above all a lot of fun. RAHL is once again becoming the place where a passion for hockey, healthy competitiveness and a great atmosphere that unites us all come together. Fans, players and all enthusiasts can count on weekends full of fun and sports in the best hockey community there is.

RAHL is once again the place where new stories will be written. We look forward to seeing everyone who is part of this great hockey family.
