RAHL1: Wild Thing Karaoke unbeaten. Who will stop the leader?

Wild Thing Karaoke have started the new season exactly the way they wanted. After four rounds they have four wins and 8 points to their name: they beat Mad Vipers 6:0, HK Petržalka 3:1, Uličníci 5:2 and AHS 3:1. They have allowed only four goals – the fewest in the league – and their goaltender Tomáš Pék also leads the new goaltender ranking.

Last year WTK finished second in the regular season, a single point behind HK Petržalka. The defending champion now has four points fewer, but has played one game fewer and, with a 15:4 goal difference, remains the biggest challenger. Crowding in behind the leader with four points each is a foursome of HK Petržalka, Uličníci (both with a game in hand), Black Jokers and Wild Hogs.

The first big test comes right away in Round 5. On Saturday, 3 October at 12:15 the leader faces Black Jokers – the team with the most productive offense in the league (19 goals). Black Jokers were among the highest-scoring teams last year as well, when they scored 87 goals in the regular season, the most of anyone. If anyone can stop WTK's winning streak, it's them.

In Round 6 (10 October) Wild Thing Karaoke have a bye, and the spotlight will be on the matchup HK Petržalka – Uličníci. A week later, on 17 October, the leader faces Neanderthals.
